While I was happy to consider not having to drive 12 hours to be in Ponferrada for Semana Santa, I was not particularly enthusiastic about all the procession business. Thought one would be interesting from an anthropological point of view in that’s it. I have to say the one procession we went to in Ponferrada was boring and the one of last year here was too long. Well it was quite something those processions, and I would now consider reliving the experience with older kids so as to see what happens in all the nights processions! <\/p>\n

J’\u00e9tais bien content de ne pas avoir \u00e0 conduire 12 heures pour aller \u00e0 Ponferrada pour Semana Santa, mais je n’\u00e9tais pas super enthousiaste \u00e0 l’id\u00e9e de voir plus d’une procession. Une serait int\u00e9ressante d’un point de vue anthropologique, mais c’est tout. Il faut dire que la procession vue \u00e0 Ponferrada il y a deux ans n’\u00e9tait pas enthousiasmente, et celle de M\u00e1laga de l’an pass\u00e9, trop longue. Eh bien j’ai chang\u00e9 d’avis, je pense que je serais pr\u00eat \u00e0 aller voir ce que sont les processions de nuit une fois les enfants plus grands!<\/p>\n

Last year we left for Ponferrada in a hurry after seeing the schedule. We used to live right next to calle Larios, which meant having the marches and all all day (and a good part of the night) all week. Want to see what I mean? This year’s schedules are posted here<\/a>, visit especially the ones of Palm Sunday<\/a>, Thursday<\/a> and Good Friday<\/a>!<\/p>\n

L’ann\u00e9e pass\u00e9e nous sommes partis pour Ponferrada en vitesse apr\u00e8s avoir vu le programme. Il faut dire que l’on vivait juste \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 de la calle Larios et donc nous entendrions les marches toute la journ\u00e9e (et une bonne partie de la nuit) toute la semaine!
