We did quite some things since last Thursday. First of all, we changed the thermostat in Eyquem’s room. Temperature used to stay below 19C, or go higher but then have a 19C-26C range, not comfortable for Eyquem. That is taken care of! Then, as we have been doing once a week for quite some time, the kids had their swimming class. And after the class we had to scramble: looking at Gadea from above I had anticipated she wouldn’t pass her Junior 2 level, and inscribed both kids for Friday classes starting in January. But Gadea did pass, and we are very proud of her. Thankfully, given the lateness of Junior 3 Friday classes, we were able to move everything to Wednesdays. Then we discovered the chalet. It is a beautiful chalet in Sutton, Qc, very neer the border. So near, in fact, we get and US (AT&T) mobile signal, and no Canadian signal. Christmas will be a disconnected time! (There are wifi zones in town and in the ski station restaurant, though.) The chalet has a full fledge chimney (slow burning). The only thing missing was snow, but we are hopeful there will be some in two weeks.<\/span>

Pas mal de choses d’accomplies depuis jeudi. Tout d’abord nous avons chang\u00e9 le thermostat dans la chambre d’Eyquem. La temp\u00e9rature restait soit sous 19C, soit variait entre 19C et 26C, ce qui n’\u00e9tait pas confortable pour Eyquem. C’est r\u00e9gl\u00e9! Ensuite, les enfants ont eu leur dernier cours de natation de la saison. Et en regardant Gadea, je m’\u00e9tait dit qu’elle continuerait en junior 2, et j’avais inscrit les cours aux m\u00eames plages horaires. Mais non, pour notre plus grande fiert\u00e9, Gadea a pass\u00e9 en junior 3, et vu l’horaire bien tardif des cours de junior 3 le vendredi, nous nous sommes d\u00e9men\u00e9s pour changer les inscriptions des deux: la natation ce fera dor\u00e9navant le mercredi, ouf. Enfin, nous sommes all\u00e9s d\u00e9couvrir le chalet. Il est fort joli, ce trouve \u00e0 Sutton, Qc, proche de la fronti\u00e8re. Tellement proche, en fait, que nous obtenons les signaux mobiles US (AT&T) plut\u00f4t que les Canadiens. Nous serons donc d\u00e9connect\u00e9s pour No\u00ebl et nouvel an (sauf qu’il y a des zones wifi en ville et au bas des pistes). Le chalet a une vraie chemin\u00e9e li\u00e9e \u00e0 un po\u00eale \u00e0 combustion lente. La seule chose qui manquait \u00e9tait la neige, mais on l’esp\u00e8re pour dans deux semaines.

Muchas cosas de hecho desde el jueves. Primero hemos cambiado el termostato en la habitaci\u00f3n de Eyquem. La temperatura se quedaba debajo de 19C, o variaba entre 19C y 26C, lo que no era c\u00f3modo para Eyquem. Ahora est\u00e1 arreglado! Despu\u00e9s, fuimos a la piscina para los cursos de natation. Mirando a Gadea la semana antes, me dije que se quedar\u00eda en junior 2, y eleg\u00ed cursos para Eyquem y Gadea los viernes a la misma hora. Pero Gadea ha pasado a junior 3. Estamos muy orgullosos, pero las clases de junior 3 son muy tarde los viernes, y hemos luchado para cambiar las inscripcione<\/span>s. Ahora tendremos cursos de natation los mi\u00e9rcoles.  Finalmente, hemos pasado el fin de semana descubriendo el chalet. Es un chalet muy chuli en Sutton, QC, a proximidad de la frontera. Tan cerca que captamos la se\u00f1al m\u00f3vil de EEUU y no la de Canada. Vamos a estar desconectados por Navidad y A\u00f1o Nuevo (excepto que hay zonas de wifi en la ciudad y en el restaurante en la parte inferior de las pistas).<\/span>
