A few weeks ago we had the good idea of spending a week-end in Nantes. Great city with nice food, nice drinks, and many things to see. We didn’t see everything by a far count, but our hotel being just at the level of the slavery abolition memorial, we did explore the memorial over two days…on sunny and one less so. It was nice to take a time to ponder about what happened in history and how far (if not far enough, clearly) the world has gone. The memorial encourages reflexion, with a time line, numbers, and a long wall of quotes. Eyquem and Gadea certainly took their time to read and we discussed.
